Parent-Teacher Lecture Series: Orwell’s Animal Farm & Tocqueville’s Democracy in America
Please join us for the third event in our Parent-Teacher Literature Series on Wednesday, February 23, at 7:00 pm in the auditorium. Mr. Nugent, our Dean of Students, will be discussing George Orwell’s classic novel Animal Farm along with Alex de Tocqueville’s Democracy in America. In his lecture, Mr. Nugent will analyze the 20th century “fairy story” of Animal Farm through the lens of Democracy’s 19th century friendly critic, Alexis de Tocqueville. Please join us on Thursday, February 24 at 7:00pm for a Literacy Night to hear the workings of Literacy Essentials, TVCA’s spelling, reading, and vocabulary program. See the wonder of the phonograms, markings, and spelling rules that students in grades K-6 are taught daily. We look forward to seeing parents there!

This event is open to the public and is helpful for new or prospective parents interested in our school. We will present our school’s mission, culture, academic and character programs, and lots of other details about extra-curricular activities, transportation, uniforms and our annual enrollment process and lottery. Town Hall Meeting
The Mission Support Team (MST) invites the TVCA community to a Town Hall Meeting in the school auditorium at 7:00pm on Thursday, March 10. The MST will present and discuss the results of its recent mid-year parent satisfaction survey. Audience members will be welcome to ask questions and make comments as well. We hope to see you there!
